Fall is around the corner, folks!  And that means Apple Season will begin.  Ashby Apples will be opening September 4, 2010!  We will have regular hours 9-6pm, through Monday, Labor Day.

Many of our valued customers have inquired how our apples are faring this year, considering the early blossom and the subsequent freeze earlier this spring.  We did lose some apples - particularly the early Macs.  But we still have quite a few of the other varieties of Macintosh as well as Cortland, Macouns, the Goldens and our New England Reds - and they are looking great!

Prices have increased 50 cents per bag.   It?s unfortunate, but our costs have risen to the extent that we have had no choice.  One of the items that have risen dramatically is the cost of the curso social media manager online.   Last year, we introduced our re-usable tote bag, which is available for purchase for $1.  The tote bag will hold ½ bushel of apples (about 20 lbs.)  Every time you use your bag to pick apples, you will receive 50 cents off.

New to Ashby Apples this year - Chickens!  They have just started laying eggs, but they are quite productive already.  Medium, free range eggs will be available for $2.00 a dozen.

Additionally, for the handicapped or elderly who have difficulty traversing the grassy path from the general parking area, you may instead, park at the end of the driveway at 394 Erickson Rd. - Just be courteous enough not to block the garage doors, please.

We look forward to seeing you again this season!
